Care Instructions
Premium heavyweight cotton with a signature pigment-dye finish for that lived-in coastal look unique to Rosemary Beach®.
Because of this special dye process, your garment just needs a little extra care to keep it looking its best.
Wash on Standard/Normal Cycle Only
Please avoid “Delicate” or “Gentle” cycles.
Our heavyweight cotton garments require a full standard wash cycle to properly rinse the fabric and remove any residual dye-process finish.
- Wash in cold water
- Use a Standard/Normal cycle only
- Avoid overloading the washer
Turn Inside Out Before Washing
Turning your garment inside out helps preserve:
- Pigment-dyed color depth
- Printed graphics and artwork
- Overall fabric appearance
Skip Fabric Softeners
Avoid using:
- Liquid fabric softeners
- Dryer sheets
Especially during the first few washes, these products can interact with pigment dyes and create temporary spotting or residue.
Dry Gently
For best long-term wear:
- Line dry when possible
- Or tumble dry on low heat
This helps maintain:
- Softness
- Shape and fit
- Print quality
- Pigment finish
Avoid Harsh Stain Removers
Do not use:
- Bleach
- Aggressive stain sprays
- Intensive spot treatments
These products can permanently strip or fade the pigment dye, leaving lightened spots on the fabric.
Safe Stain Removal
For food or grease stains:
- Apply a few drops of clear liquid dish soap (such as blue Dawn) directly onto the stain
- Gently work it in using your fingers
- Let sit for 5 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly
- Wash normally
Do not scrub aggressively or use brushes.
A Quick Note About “Wet Spots”
If you notice dark circles or marks that look like permanent “wet spots” after washing, do not use stain removers.
In most cases, these marks are simply leftover soap residue trapped in the fabric from a weak wash cycle.
To Fix It
Rewash the garment using:
- Cold water
- A Standard/Normal cycle
- No detergent
This typically removes the trapped residue and restores the garment’s original appearance.
